Parallel Session on Designated Topic 7: Lexical Semantics

Description

Due to progress in determining, understanding, modelling and representing lexical meaning, as well as to progress in corpus linguistics, lexical semantics has grown into a vivid field of research world-wide. The parallel session provides a forum for the presentation and discussion of results and approaches from the whole range of scientific perspectives in the field.

Proposals are invited for thirty minute papers (20 minutes presentation plus 10 minutes discussion), in either English or French, on any topic related to lexical meaning, including:

? August  31, 2007: Deadline for submitting the abstract.

? November 30, 2007: Notification of acceptance.

 

Form and submission of abstracts

An English of French abstract (.pdf or .doc file) should be 800 to 1000 words long, including data and references.

The abstract starts with the title of the paper, followed by the description of the talk. Please, do not include the author's name(s) in the abstract, nor in the name of the file.

Abstracts must be submitted by e-mail, the abstract itself as an attachment not included in the message itself.

Make sure you list the following data in the email (for each author):

- author's name and title
- affiliation
- e-mail address for reply (if different)
- mail address
-   title of the talk
- name of the file attached (please, use a short version of the title as the name of the file, plus extension .pdf or .doc)
