Description:

The purpose of this workshop is to report the current situation of endangered languages in the world, and to discuss the structure of these languages, and finally to investigate the role of these languages in the societies where they belong. As many languages become extinct, we lose more and more human culture. Therefore, we wish this workshop to be a forum for linguists to discuss what we can do for the endangered languages. At this workshop, experts on endangered languages will gather together and discuss the situation, structure, and role of endangered languages. We hope that this workshop will be a cornerstone to attract attention on endangered languages not only from linguists but also from ordinary people in the world.
